OSS Sweeper Driver / Labourer (Weekends & Nightshift) Location: Duncrue Industrial Estate, 31–51 Duncrue Road, Belfast, BT3 9BP Hours: 37 hours per week Positions Available: 2 Pay Rates PAY: £13.47 per hour Enhancements: Nightshift allowance and weekend enhancement paid Shift Pattern: Wednesday to Sunday, 11:00pm – 7:00am Role Overview We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious OSS Sweeper Driver / Labourers to support weekend and night-time cleansing operations. The role involves driving and operating mechanical sweepers, carrying out manual cleansing duties, and maintaining high standards across roads, footpaths, parks, and public spaces. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain allocated mechanical sweepers and vehicles Undertake manual and mechanical sweeping, litter collection, and bin emptying Follow assigned routes and work schedules accurately Carry out daily vehicle checks, basic maintenance, cleaning, and defect reporting Transport staff and equipment as required Assist with labouring duties including lifting, sweeping, and waste removal Essential Criteria Applicants must, at the closing date, possess: A full, current Category C1 driving licence valid in Northern Ireland A valid Driver CPC (Driver Qualification Card) At least one year’s relevant experience in: Driving in a commercial environment Outdoor cleansing or manual labouring duties Dealing with members of the public This role requires flexibility and adaptability, and the successful candidates may be asked to undertake duties consistent with the grade of the post as service needs evolve.
