This is a high-impact role within a growing and entrepreneurial business; an ideal opportunity for a senior accountant to step into a leadership role. Working closely with the Board, the position focuses on financial strategy, governance and operational delivery.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
* Preparing annual audited financial statements and liaising with auditors.
* Producing quarterly management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
* Managing billing processes and monitoring creditors and debtors.
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including capital adequacy and liquidity.
* Supporting the Board in developing financial strategy and advising on financial decisions.
* Identifying and managing financial risks across the business.
* Acting as authorised signatory on bank accounts.
* Leading and developing the accounting team, including training and mentoring.
* Supporting wider business operations and administration functions.
* Leading client accounting delivery and ensuring deadlines are met.
* Preparing and reviewing financial statements for trust and fiduciary structures.
* Supporting investment monitoring and reporting processes.
* Driving process improvements, including automation and workflow efficiencies.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' experience within the finance industry, including experience in a management or leadership role. They will hold a recognised professional qualification such as ACCA and demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge. They will have a strong technology background and an interest in improving systems and processes. Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on. The successful individual will be proactive, detail-oriented and capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders, clients and team members.
