Opportunity for Band 7 Radiographer - Lithotripsy Service
A rare and unique opportunity has arisen for a band 7 Radiographer to assist with the management of our Lithotripsy service.
The post holder will act as a Practitioner for the Lithotripsy Service within the Urology Day Unit and will be responsible for performing and providing specialist expertise and guidance on Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) procedures to treat kidney stones, utilising either x-ray or ultrasound guidance.
The successful candidate will help manage the 6-day lithotripsy service, providing high-quality, efficient, and patient-centred care. They will coordinate with key stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams and the Urology department to manage patient pathways and facilitate continuous improvement.
We welcome applications from individuals who may not currently meet the full person specification for a band 7 post. Motivated and experienced Radiographers may be considered for a Band 6 developmental role, progressing to Band 7 upon successful achievement of competencies, assessed during the interview process.
The post-holder will undertake clinical work within established quality standards for imaging and urology (including NICE, BAUS, SoR, and BMUS) and ionising radiation safety legislation (including IRMER and IRR17). The ideal candidate will have experience working autonomously, demonstrating the ability to prioritise workload, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
