Job Description Clinical Lead Nurse Location: Ilford, East London Salary: £58,000 to £65,000 per annum Type: Full time We are recruiting for a Clinical Lead Nurse to join a well-established care service in Ilford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader to take on a key clinical role within a large, purpose-built service that provides nursing, dementia, respite and younger adult care. The home offers a well-supported care environment with strong operational infrastructure, making this a good opportunity for someone who wants to combine hands-on clinical oversight with leadership responsibility. The successful candidate will play a central role in overseeing clinical standards, supporting nursing staff and ensuring residents receive safe, effective and person-centred care. This role would suit a strong senior nurse, unit lead or existing clinical lead who is confident managing teams, care planning and day-to-day clinical operations. Key responsibilities: Provide high-quality clinical care and maintain strong nursing standards Lead and support the nursing team, promoting a positive and accountable culture Assess resident needs and develop comprehensive care plans with the wider multidisciplinary team Monitor clinical outcomes and adapt care plans where needed Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements Support compliance with safeguarding, health and safety and clinical governance standards Contribute to staff training, coaching and ongoing development Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure effective, joined-up care delivery Requirements: Valid nursing qualification with active NMC registration Significant experience in a clinical setting Leadership or supervisory experience within a nursing team Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology and care planning Good communication skills, both written and verbal A proactive, organised and resident-focused approach Previous care home experience preferred Must have the right to work full time in the UK, as sponsorship is not available What’s on offer: £58,000 to £65,000 per annum Full-time permanent opportunity Company pension Free parking and on-site parking Referral programme Opportunity to step into a visible clinical leadership position within an established service The home is publicly described as an 80-room purpose-built centre divided into six units, providing nursing care, dementia care, respite care, younger adult care and support for physical disabilities.
