Experience required...
* Civil Engineering degree or equivalent or evidence of experience in the highways sector
* Commercial awareness in the delivery of projects
* Awareness / experience of Local Highway Authority standards
* Evidence of developing assistant engineers, graduates, and technicians
* Working knowledge of programming tools such as ASTA
* Evidence of managing Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other design software including for drainage, alignment, and traffic signs (desirable). Civil 3D experience would be advantageous
* Knowledge of highway design guidance and standards including Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Manual for Streets, LTN 1 / 20 (Low Traffic Neighbourhood), TSRGD (Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions), MCDHW and other relevant codes of practice and design standards
* Ability to compile specifications and Bills of Quantities (BoQ)
* Understanding of CDM (Construction Design Management) 2015 regulations
* Computer literate particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Full UK / EEC driving licence
