EYFS Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Blackpool

Contract: Long-term, until July 2026 (end of academic year)
Teaching Personnel are delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in the Blackpool area. This long-term position will begin on Monday 23rd February 2026 and will run through to the end of the academic year, with the potential for the right candidate to secure a permanent role.
About the Role
We are seeking a warm, patient and proactive EYFS practitioner who can support children in their earliest stages of learning. Your role will involve:
Supporting pupils through play‑based and structured learning activities
Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivery of EYFS curriculum
Providing 1:1 and small‑group support where needed
Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Encouraging social, emotional and academic development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working within Early Years (nursery, preschool or Reception)
A good understanding of EYFS frameworks and child‑centred learning
A nurturing, positive and patient approach to supporting young children
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Relevant childcare/education qualifications (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
