Fountain Medical Centre are looking for a Salaried GP for 4 / 5 sessions per week to work over Monday/Tuesday and Wednesday.
We are looking for a dynamic and forward thinking GP interested in a salaried position to join our friendly well established practice. We hope to recruit someone who will contribute to providing high quality patient centered care to our patient population. The ideal candidate should have excellent people, planning and organisation skills. You will need to show flexibility and be able to work under pressure as well as being able to manage your own workload.

Main duties of the job To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the PMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team. The practice has weekly MDT meetings to encourage team working.
About us We are a dynamic, forward thinking practice wishing to deliver locally innovative and integrated services to our practice population of approx. 17500 patients. We are a SystmOne practice based in Morley, Leeds and our last CQC rating was good.
Our clinical team of GP's, ANP, PA's, practice employed Pharmacist and large nursing team work alongside an evolving team of network employed pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, first contact Physiotherapists, care co-ordinators/social prescribers which reduce our workload.
Job responsibilities Clinical practice
Provide a full range of primary care services and assist in the service and delivery of the care management of the practice population
Take a reasonable portion of the clinical workload within practice time including responsibility for booked surgeries, urgent patients and home visits as appropriate
Participate in primary care development projects and ensure that personal professional development reflects the training and development needs of such projects
Work with other health care professionals to diagnose, monitor, manage and treat long-term conditions,
Prescribe and review medication appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with practice guidelines
Provide information and advice to patients on medication regimens, side-effects and interactions and work with them to support adherence.
Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care
Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote them to live healthily, and apply principles of self-care
Protect and preserve patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality and comply with NHS requirements in relation to obtaining informed consent
Communication
Demonstrate sensitive communication styles to ensure patients are fully informed and consent to treatment
Communicate effectively with patients and carers, recognising the need for alternative methods of communication to overcome different levels of understanding, cultural background and preferred ways of communicating
Ensure awareness of sources of support and guidance and provide information in an acceptable format to all patients, recognising any difficulties and referring where appropriate.
Anticipate barriers to communication and take action to improve communication
Maintain effective communication within the practice environment and with external bodies when required
Actively participate in practice team meetings.

Use accurate Read codes in order to ensure easy and accurate information retrieval for monitoring and audit processes

Qualifications
MRCGP
Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery
GMC registered with a licence to practice.
Registered on the NHS Performers List.
