Job Title: Day Security Officer - Luxurious Residential Estate Near Canary Wharf
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and highly responsible individual to join our team as a Day Security Officer at a prestigious block of luxurious apartments built by the leading development company in the UK. As a Day Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents, visitors, and the property during day time hours. Your primary objective will be to maintain a secure and welcoming environment while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a Secure Environment: Conduct regular patrols throughout the premises to deter unauthorized access, ensure the security of all entry and exit points, and promptly respond to any suspicious activities or incidents.
2. Monitor Surveillance Systems: Continuously monitor and operate the security and surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems, to detect and report any security breaches or potential threats.
3. Access Control: Verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises, ensuring that only authorized personnel, residents, or guests gain access. Register contractors and issue appropriate passes as required.
4. Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact during emergencies, promptly notifying appropriate authorities, such as police or fire departments, and following established protocols to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of residents and the building.
5. Customer Service: Provide a courteous and professional presence to residents and guests, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or requests promptly and effectively. Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere within the premises.
6. Incident Reporting: Document and report all incidents, accidents, and unusual activities in a detailed and timely manner. Prepare accurate written reports outlining any security breaches, damages, or potential risks.
7. Fire and Safety Measures: Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations, such as checking emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment. Take appropriate actions in the event of a fire or other emergencies.
8. Parcel Management: Receiving, logging, and distributing parcels with adherence to internal SOPs. Conducting regular parcel audits.
9. Asset Management: performing fabric checks and reporting defects. In emergency situations mitigating damages and following escalation guidelines.
10. Collaborate with Team: Maintain effective communication with other security personnel, building management, and relevant stakeholders to share information, coordinate activities, and address any security-related concerns.
11. Stay Informed: Stay updated on the latest security protocols, industry best practices, and emerging trends to enhance the effectiveness of security measures and provide optimal protection to residents and the property.
Qualifications:
* SIA Door Supervisor (Mandatory).
* SIA CCTV (Mandatory).
* High school diploma or equivalent (additional security certifications or training is a plus).
* Proven experience in security field, preferably in a luxury residential, hospitality or Corporate environment.
* Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm and composed during emergency situations.
* Familiarity with security systems and equipment (CCTV, access control, alarms).
* Basic knowledge of fire safety and emergency response procedures.
* Physical fitness and ability to walk, stand, and perform patrols for extended periods.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* Strong ethical standards and respect for confidentiality.
* Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor.
The Role and the Benefits:
* Shift Pattern – 4 days on 4 days off; 12 hours from 07:00 – 19:00
