Company Description
Medicines Online started in 2020 as a COVID Provider for the UK Government Healthcare Emergency. Since then it trained more than 300 Laboratory Staff and invested more than 1 Million Pounds in a Laboratory and staff skills.
Now Senior Management are fully aware of quality control compliance and the labour supply issues.
During this time some of the 300 staff failed to honor contractural obligations and effectively stole resources of the company and ran away without paying elements of their training which had fees to pay.
Training included Company Admin, Lab Operations and General Instrument Training and Specialist Instrument Training. Some specialist instruments cost over 10,000 for fully equipped training to be completed as they take place in a High cost consumption equipment usage environment. Most labs will not do this as they dont trust people to honor their contracts.
Medicines Online acted in good faith and with trust. Most of the 300 staff honored their contracts.
12 did not. These 12 currently owe the company more than 150,000 pounds which we are now able to recover as all documentation and history has been collated. The company is going to focus on those members of the 12 who engaged in Online Abuse intended to damage the company so they would not have to pay the fees owed by their contracts. Those that abused will now have actions made against them. Most of the abusers hav been reported to the Police by other lab staff.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Lawyer specializing in debt recovery at @Medicines Online Ltd., located in London. The Lawyer will be responsible for recovering approximately £150,000 owed by 12 individuals. Daily tasks include identifying and pursuing legal action against debtors, drafting and filing legal documents, representing the company in court, negotiating settlements, and liaising with clients and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Debt Recovery and Litigation skills
* Money Online and CCJ experience needed.
* Experience in drafting and filing legal documents
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Ability to represent clients in court proceedings
* Legal research and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
* LLB degree and relevant professional qualifications
* Experience in debt recovery or corporate law is a plus
