I'm currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join a friendly, collaborative finance team, working closely with Client Account Managers within a pod‑based structure. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fully digital, cloud‑based environment and supporting multiple client accounts.
The Role
1. Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients
2. Process purchase and sales invoices end‑to‑end
3. Complete bank and control account reconciliations
4. Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with MTD requirements
5. Assist with payroll processing where required
6. Support management accounts preparation, including accruals and prepayments
7. Ensure all work is completed accurately and to agreed deadlines
8. Work closely with colleagues to resolve queries efficiently
Systems & Working Environment
9. Xero (daily use)
10. Dext
11. Fully cloud‑based, paperless setup
What I'm Looking For
12. 2-4 years' experience in a bookkeeping role (practice experience preferred)
13. Strong, practical knowledge of Xero
14. Good understanding of VAT and core accounting principles
15. Experience using Dext or similar document capture tools
16. High attention to detail and accuracy
17. Comfortable working in a digital, paperless environment
18. Confident written and verbal communication skills
