We are a 26 bedded Community Hospital, set in the historic market town of Leominster, located north of Herefordshire.
As a HCSW, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, dignified care, supporting patients throughout their stay.
You will:
* Support patients with daily living needs including personal care, nutrition, and mobility
* Promote and maintain patient dignity, privacy, and independence
* Deliver care that considers the whole person, not just their condition
* Build meaningful relationships and get to know your patients as individuals
* Help to improve each patient's day through compassionate care and interaction
* Follow and promote infection prevention and control practices
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and safe discharge
* Contribute to a positive patient experience where people feel valued and respected
Main duties of the job

As a Health Care Support Worker, you will be a hugely valuable support to our Nursing and Midwifery teams providing care to our patients. Every day will be different and you will work alongside the rest of the team carrying out a wide range of tasks and assisting with care to support the needs of the patients and their families.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
* Willingness to undertake the Maths and English Functional Skills qualifications if not already obtained
* Willingness to work towards Apprenticeship level 2/3 in Health & Social Care
Experience
* Working with people
* Previous experience working in a care environment
Skills Knowledge and Abilities
* Knowledge of personal care and related procedures
* Demonstrate knowledge of roles and responsibilities within clinical setting
