Field Engineer MSP - Burnley based
We are a growing MSP looking for a dynamic Field Engineer to join our Burnley-based team. You won't be stuck behind a desk all day; instead, you'll be the face of our technical expertise, supporting a diverse range of clients across Lancashire and the North West.
As a Field Engineer, you are the bridge between complex problems and seamless solutions. You'll manage on-site installations, provide emergency support, and perform proactive maintenance to keep our clients' businesses running.
Key Responsibilities:
* On-Site Support: Deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware (servers, switches, firewalls, and APs).
* Project Delivery: Assisting with full-scale office moves, network refreshes, and cloud migrations.
* Relationship Management: Acting as a trusted technical advisor to our clients, explaining 'the tech' in plain English.
* Ticket Escalation: Handling complex Level 2 and Level 3 issues that can't be resolved remotely by our Service Desk.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is technically curious and naturally customer-focused.
* Technical Stack: Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, and networking fundamentals (VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
* Problem Solver: You don't just fix the symptom; you find the root cause.
* The 'Field' Mindset: You are organized, punctual, and comfortable working independently on-site.
* Requirements: A valid UK driving license is essential.
