Role Overview
Seeking a proactive Health & Safety Controller to manage and improve health, safety, and wellbeing systems across manufacturing sites. You'll ensure legal compliance, reduce risk, and promote a positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and UK regulations
* Develop and implement H&S policies and safe systems of work
* Conduct and review risk assessments across sites
* Carry out safety inspections and address hazards
* Promote a strong safety culture and deliver inductions
* Investigate incidents and identify root causes
* Manage PPE, training, and competency requirements
* Oversee emergency procedures, including fire safety requirements
Essential
* NEBOSH General Certificate
* Experience in manufacturing/engineering environments
* Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation
* Experience with audits, risk assessments, and investigations
* Excellent communication skills
Desirable
* NEBOSH Diploma
* ISO 45001 auditing experience
* IOSH membership
* Multi-site experience
