Job Title: Senior Planner
Location: Derby (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum

A global professional services firm is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to support a major project in the nuclear and defence sector, based in Derby. The Role
As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules on a secure nuclear or defence programme. You’ll work closely with engineering, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure the programme remains on track, risks are managed, and all planning data supports informed decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
* Creating and maintaining integrated schedules using Primavera P6
* Carrying out critical path and impact analysis
* Supporting earned value management and cost forecasting
* Monitoring project progress and identifying potential delays or constraints
* Preparing accurate planning reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Supporting compliance with regulatory and security requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience as a planner or senior planner in a high-compliance sector such as defence, nuclear, or aerospace
* Strong proficiency in Primavera P6
* Familiarity with planning processes in secure or regulated project environments
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* A proactive and analytical approach to identifying and resolving planning challenges
* Existing security clearance (or eligibility to obtain clearance) is highly desirable
