The Role
We are looking for an Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach on a casual basis to deliver and develop our AWFC physical curriculum and lead athletic development across the Academy.

Your day-to-day
* Deliver our long-term athletic development (LTAD) model to bridge the physical gap, maintaining an exceptional standard
* Lead and oversee the Academy strength and conditioning programmes with support from the performance lead
* Support Arsenal Women’s fitness profiling, ensuring it is age-specific, comprehensive, and meets FA requirements
* Create and implement individual development plans for each player, with regular reviews to foster continuous athlete and team development, in collaboration with the medical lead
* Develop athletic profiles for athletes to monitor and improve their competencies continually
* Participate in reviews and provide regular reports to key stakeholders to support the Women’s programme development
* Support the physical development strategy to enhance athletic performance throughout the Women’s Academy, aligning with First Team standards
* Develop and implement athletic development strategies in collaboration with MDT staff to optimize squad performance throughout the season
What we are looking for
* Degree (or equivalent) in sports science or strength and conditioning
* Qualifications in Strength and Conditioning (e.g., UKSCA, NCSA, CSCS)
* Experience providing strength and conditioning services
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build strategic relationships with club staff and players
* Experience working with and preparing elite players for competition
* Strong session planning and organizational skills
* Willingness to work weekends and adapt to scheduling needs
* Ability to travel independently
* Knowledge of FA girls’ talent pathway & WSL Academy structure
* Experience in women’s football (desirable)
* BASES Accreditation
* FA Level 2 Coaching (or international equivalent)
