Consultant Anaesthetist with Interest in Vascular Anaesthesia
We are looking for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join our dynamic department. The role is suited to someone with experience or interest in vascular and airway anaesthesia, with additional value in neuroanaesthesia, regional anaesthesia and major trauma experience.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will provide high‑quality anaesthesia services across a broad range of specialties, including general surgery, major trauma, obstetrics, and neurosurgery (all covered by on‑call duties). In addition to clinical duties, you will contribute to teaching and training through our partnership with the University of Plymouth, mentoring junior doctors, delivering lectures, and supporting undergraduate and postgraduate learning. You will also be encouraged to engage in continuing medical education and quality improvement activities. The job plan will be tailored to balance service needs and personal interests.
Person Specification
Required:
* Full GMC registration with licence to practice and no restrictions on practice
* CESR or CCT or expected within 6 months
* Excellent patient and colleague feedback
* Vascular SIA or extensive experience
* SIA in advanced airway
* Publications or oral presentations
