About the Team:
The Children with Disabilities Team (CwDT) supports children with complex and profound needs as a result of their disabilities.
The team is passionate about working with children, families and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for vulnerable children. The team undertake Family Help Assessments and works with Children in Need, children subject to Child Protection Plans and Children in Care. A multi-disciplinary approach is modelled in the team in partnership with both universal and mainstream services to support children, young people and their families.

About the Role:
We are recruiting for the role of a Team Manager in our Children with Disabilities Team Assessment Hub covering the county of Warwick. This is a full-time, fixed-term position to cover maternity leave.
This is an exciting opportunity to take the next step in your career or try something new. While experience in a disabilities team is not essential, we are looking for candidates with relevant skills, knowledge, and strong transferable skills such as leadership, decision-making, and the ability to support and develop a team. If you have experience in managing complex cases, working collaboratively with partners, and driving good practice, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
5. Lead and manage a team of social workers and support staff to ensure timely and high-quality assessments for children and families.
6. Oversee the allocation and prioritisation of cases, ensuring compliance with statutory timescales and organisational policies.
7. Provide professional supervision, guidance, and support to team members, promoting continuous learning and development.
8. Monitor performance and quality of assessments, implementing improvements where necessary to maintain best practice standards.
9. Work collaboratively with partner agencies and internal teams to deliver coordinated and effective services for children and families.
10. Ensure safeguarding principles are embedded in all decision-making and practice within the team.
11. Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
12. Manage resources effectively, including staff workload and budgets, to achieve service objectives.
Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.
