Break the “Banquet” cliché. Delightfully deliver positive experiences for the guests through attention to the event details while bringing personality and passion to all event venues. Under the orchestration of the Event Manager, this position thrives on taking ownership of responsibilities such as ensuring all events spaces are well presented.

What exactly you will be doing…
In helping you understand your role in working for a progressive, environment conscious, world class organization, the following is a list of your essential job responsibilities. Please keep in mind that this list is not all inclusive and that you may be asked to perform other job tasks by your supervisors/managers not listed below in the constant quest to provide “out of this world” customer service experience for our guests:
* Cleanliness is the closest thing to happiness and happiness looks like a clean, hygienic and organized work environment that includes polished cutlery/glassware, folded napkins, etc. and well maintained service areas/halls
* Setup event space according to the event details in ‘show ready’ condition
* Pack down event spaces post event
* Preparing Mise en Place for a wide variety of meetings and events
* Greet and assist guests in a kind and courteous manner
What qualities are we looking for?
You got skills? If you are able to perform the following, then you have come to the right place…
* Lift and carry 30 lbs, carry and balance plates, cocktail tray on a regular and frequent basis.
* Stand for periods of 8-10 hours.
* Work with others like a rock star, while constantly advocating for your guests
* Communicate clearly and follow instruction in verbal and written English both with teammates and guests.
* Comply with all health & safety procedures, as well as all local licensing laws.
* Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per hotel standards.
* Bend, squat and stretch in areas of limited space to perform cleaning, organisation, and other duties.
* Adhere to hotel policies including but not limited to attendance, safety, and behaviour.
* Set-up, clean and maintain meeting and event rooms following the standards of service as set by hotel management.
* Care and storage of all equipment such as tables and chairs
* Responsible for gathering plates, glasses, and silverware specific to BEO requirements (includes polishing and rollups)
* Provide outstanding service.
* Ability to work a fully flexible shift pattern.
Background must-have:
* Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the UK.
* High school or equivalent education required.
* Preferred: 1-2 years’ experience in a full-service hospitality establishment
Just like you communicate through your smart phone via text, social media or an actual phone conversation, please communicate directly with your immediate supervisor or manager regarding your work schedule, daily work tasks and responsibilities as well as general work-related issues. Face-to-face conversation is preferred of course!
