Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Grounds person. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for horticulture and landscape maintenance, who enjoys working outdoors and has experience with various gardening techniques. The Grounds person will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty of our clients' outdoor spaces using hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems.
Responsibilities
* Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and planting.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out various gardening duties.
* Assist in the design and installation of new garden layouts and features.
* Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
* Monitor plant health and provide appropriate care to ensure growth and vitality.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in gardening or horticulture, with a strong understanding of plant care.
* Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices and techniques.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

* A valid UK driving licence is often required, especially where travelling between sites or using work vehicles.
* Horticulture Qualifications (Level 2 / Level 3)
* PA1 / PA6 licences (for use of pesticides) are commonly requested. Simply Hired+1
* Safe operation of tools and equipment (strimmers, mowers, chainsaws etc.), often with NPTC or equivalent certificates.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
