Summary of Position:
As the sole Senior Management role on site, this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced General Manager, with Tool Making or related manufacturing experience. The role has overall responsibility for the day to day running of the site and combines working with the Group Directors on developing the industrial and creative sides to the business with growing the business through developing customer relationships and growing sales and would suit a commercially astute manager with a strong background in sales.
Primary Responsibilities
* Plan the daily and weekly production schedules to ensure production efficiency and all deadlines are met
* Liaise with clients in respect of quotes, orders and completion dates, ensuring they are aware of delays and any production issues. Responsible for the day to day decision making within the business.
* Liaise with suppliers ensuring timely deliveries, best prices and quality
* Carry out all necessary administrative and financial processes including management of budgets, ensuring all required information is reported to Head Office in an accurate and timely manner
* Oversee, with the support of the Manufacturing Managers, the performance of the shop-floor team
* Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, and environmental standards
* Lead, mentor and coach all staff including operators with clear vision to meet internal and external KPI’s
* Keep up to date with current and developing trends in manufacturing and technology
* Develop Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
* Set and monitor sales targets, focusing on revenue growth and market development. This includes developing strategies to increase sales, exploring new market opportunities and expanding the existing customer base.
* Work closely with the Group Directors, actively participate in strategy and planning
* Actively seek out new business opportunities; following through on enquiries and pro actively seeking to develop new areas of business.
* Be actively involved in contract negotiations with clients, ensuring that terms are favourable and meet the Company’s business objectives.

* Experience in running a sales process
* Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue and forecasting Strong communications skills
