About the role
• Working as a Trainee Youth Worker supporting children and young people who need extra emotional and behavioural support
• Building positive, trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe and engaged in school
• Supporting pupils with autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs
• Helping pupils manage behaviour, emotions, and daily routines
• Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff throughout the school day
• Knowing pupils well enough to respond calmly to challenging situations
• Full time, term time only
• Working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm

About you
• Interested in becoming a Youth Worker and supporting young people
• Calm, patient and non judgemental approach
• Experience with challenging behaviour or young people is helpful but not essential
• Relevant Level 3 qualifications are desirable but not required
• Able to provide references and willing to apply for an enhanced DBS check
