Learning and Development (L&D) is a key enabler of our strategy as an Audit Stream and is critical to our success. It helps us attract, develop, and retain talented people who take pride in their work and deliver for our business. Effective L&D underpins quality and productivity by helping our people develop the necessary knowledge and skills to reach their potential.

Effective L&D requires specialist resources to identify training needs and respond appropriately. It involves careful planning, project management, critical thinking, a commercial mindset, and understanding regulatory requirements. We also focus on the latest innovations, tools, and technology to support tailored, relevant, and timely development for our people.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Manager / Senior Manager or equivalent to join our Learning Development team. The role is suitable for a talented, high-performing, ambitious individual eager to support current curriculum delivery and shape future L&D strategies during a growth phase. This role reports to the Development and Monitoring Lead (DAM).

The Learning Development team designs, curates, or creates content for the Audit programme, aiming to develop impactful, innovative solutions that meet learner needs and deliver business outcomes. The team includes technical and non-technical specialists responsible for main authoring activities.

Lead authors collaborate with Business Partners and Audit Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand business objectives, translate them into learning objectives, and design interventions that meet these needs using innovative methodologies. They support project management and facilitate programs where appropriate.

The successful candidate will lead a portfolio of programs, support broader team activities, review content, coach junior members, and contribute to initiatives like the Learning Library and Learning Culture programs.

Applicants should have practical audit experience, a good understanding of financial reporting, ethics, and professional conduct. Experience in designing technical learning content is essential; formal design qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory, as experience can suffice.

This role can be based anywhere in the UK, with travel to London and other offices as required, including residential stays for certain courses.

Key responsibilities include:

* Developing impactful, innovative content aligned with business outcomes
* Reviewing content produced by others to ensure quality and consistency
* Building and maintaining relationships with content SMEs
* Supporting program delivery through project management and facilitation
* Designing and creating technical and non-technical learning content
* Supporting team development through coaching and supervision
* Training facilitators and hosts for program delivery
* Leveraging audit experience to develop relevant learning materials
* Mentoring junior team members and building L&D expertise
* Collaborating with Business Partners and the Innovation and Technology team to incorporate latest design thinking and technology
* Supporting strategic initiatives and advocating for change

Required skills and experience:

* Manager/Senior Manager level experience in program development, both technical and non-technical, preferably with regulatory reporting knowledge
* Proven experience in authoring and reviewing learning content; formal qualifications are advantageous but not essential
* Knowledge of design thinking, innovation tools, and data analytics
* Strong relationship-building, influencing, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to coach, develop, and work independently
* Experience with behavioral change or cultural programs is beneficial
* Passion for developing oneself and others through high-quality learning interventions
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Understanding of business strategy and goal-oriented delivery
* Commitment to excellence and quality
