Job Description

Our public sector client based in Helston, Cornwall is looking for an Administration Officer, to support their Medical Practice. This is a temporary assignment with a possibility of extension. This is a part time 18.5 hours per week role. This role will be paying £14.48 p/hr.

The successful candidate would be responsible for all administrative requirements for the practice. There are numerous clinics which require support answering the telephone, making appointments, looking after shared inboxes and responding to correspondence.

The post holder will also be responsible for managing clinical diaries and clinics, booking medical documents in/out, dealing with the post, and sending and receiving emails.

Specifically, you would be responsible for the below tasks:

1. Dealing with patients in an administrative role, using the MOD Patient record system (DMICP) as required (training on DMICP will be given)
2. Collating and analysing fairly complex confidential medical/patient information or data, submitting results to senior staff.
3. Overseeing administrative procedures and processes within the medical centre
4. Acting as a administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources
5. Preparing routine correspondence
6. As this role deals with sensitive medical information, Caldicott training will be given

The post holder will need to be enthusiastic and committed to service delivery and improvement, with the ideal candidate having at least 12 months strong administration experience and a willingness to train and learn new systems and skills and be experienced in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint. You will have an attention to detail and ability to work in a structured environment. You will be articulate, an excellent communicator and effective team player!

This role will require a clear DBS to be in place, and three years referencing.
