Thisis a dynamic and inclusive school dedicated to fostering creativity and practical skills. We are seeking a passionate Food Technology & Design Technology Teacher to join their team and inspire students in both culinary and design disciplines. This begins September 2025.
Duties as a Food Technology Teacher:
* Deliver engaging and practical lessons in Food Technology and Design Technology at [KS3/KS4/KS5] level.
* Teach essential cooking skills, nutrition, and food science principles.
* Guide students through DT projects, including product design, materials technology, and workshop skills.
* Ensure a strong focus on health, safety, and hygiene in both food and DT practical sessions.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Support extra-curricular activities, such as cooking clubs and DT competitions.
Ideal Food Technology Teacher:
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS).
* A degree in Food Technology, Design Technology, or a related subject.
* Experience teaching Food Technology and DT at [KS3/KS4/KS5] level.
* Strong practical skills in both food preparation and design technology disciplines as a Food Technology Teacher.
* A passion for hands-on learning and fostering creativity.
