Job Title: Business Analyst

Role Overview
Support the development and enhancement of the Cyber Response Plan for the Process Data Quickly (PDQ) service within the Core Acquiring domain. Act as a bridge between business cyber security and technology teams, understanding current state systems, identifying gaps against Group Cyber Security requirements, and defining actionable remediation plans. Require strong expertise in payment acquiring processes and working knowledge of HPE Nonstop infrastructure and BASE24 applications.
Hybrid Working
The role will involve a blend of company offices, client sites, and home; working from home 100% of the time is not possible.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with business cyber security and technology stakeholders to elicit and validate functional and nonfunctional requirements.
* Conduct detailed gap analysis between current PDQ service capabilities and Group Cyber Security standards.
* Analyse existing process controls and workflows to identify compliance gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
* Develop a strong understanding of the payment acquiring lifecycle, credit-card authorisation, clearing and settlement processes, BASE24 application workflows, and HPE NonStop system architecture.
* Map end-to-end transaction flows, identifying dependencies and control points relevant to cyber response.
* Work with architects, engineers and cyber teams to translate requirements into clear solution specifications.
* Support the definition of remediation strategies, including required system and process changes, impact analysis, effort estimation and cost inputs.
* Ensure all proposed solutions meet security compliance and operational resilience requirements.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding of payment acquiring processes and deep knowledge of credit-card authorisation, clearing and settlement lifecycle.
* Experience with BASE24 or similar payment switching platforms.
* Familiarity with HPE NonStop systems and mission-critical payment environments.
* Knowledge of cyber security principles, controls and compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS and enterprise cyber standards.
* Knowledge of transaction messaging standards such as ISO 8583 and integration patterns.
* Proven experience in requirements gathering, gap analysis and process modelling.
* Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements and documentation.
* Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery models.
* Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence for requirements tracking and documentation.
* Experience with process modelling tools such as Visio or BPMN tools.
