We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Solicitor/FCILEX specialising in General Litigation to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, providing expert legal advice, and representing clients in various litigation matters. Responsibilities
* Triage new cases and onboard Clients, or provide legal advice.
* Manage a varied caseload of general litigation matters, including contractual disputes, negligence claims, and property disputes.
* Provide clear and strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring they are well-informed about their rights and options.
* Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, statements of claim, and settlement agreements.
* Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations with professionalism and confidence.
* Conduct legal research to stay abreast of relevant legislation and case law developments impacting litigation cases.
* Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless delivery of legal services.
* Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory standards.
Skills
* Qualified Solicitor or FCILEX with experience in general litigation across multiple sectors.
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to diverse audiences.

Place of Work and Hours
The job will be office based, in Doncaster, during probation with the potential for home working on a hybrid basis depending upon the candidate. Full time hours are a 37.5 hour week, and core business hours are 09:00-17:30 Monday to Friday with a 1 hour lunch break. There is some flexibility to this depending on locality to the office but it also needs to suit business needs.
