We are looking for an experienced and motivated Radiology Support Worker to step into a Team Leader role. This internal opportunity is ideal for a current RSW ready to take the next step in their career.
In this leadership role, you will supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Radiology Support Worker team across a busy, multi-site imaging service, ensuring efficient and high-quality support to radiographers and other clinical staff. You will play a key role in maintaining excellent patient care standards and supporting service delivery.
This is a dynamic and varied role that includes clinical, clerical, and administrative responsibilities. You’ll be required to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as part of our 7-day service. Main duties of the job
In this role, you will:
· Lead and support a team of support workers, helping to deliver compassionate, high-quality care and seamless imaging services.
· Act as a key liaison between radiology staff, patients, and other clinical teams, supporting effective communication and enhancing the patient experience.
· Work directly alongside radiographers and nurses, assisting with imaging procedures and patient care, and ensuring safety, dignity, and comfort throughout.
· Support student radiographers and new staff, helping to guide learning and promote a positive team culture.
· Develop collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams across Chester, Ellesmere Port, and community ultrasound hubs (e.g. Malpas and Tarporley).
· Contribute to service improvement, using your leadership and insight to help shape patient pathways and drive continuous development of the department.
