We are Film & Smart Surface Solutions (F&SSS), active in over 50 countries. Our main production site is in the UK, with plans for a second in Asia. Our R&D and Technical centres are located across the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Our goal is to become the market leader in in-mold electronics for the automotive industry, focusing on human-machine interfaces, displays, and in-mold electronics. We combine specialty films for industrial and automotive uses with flexible conductive and non-conductive inks, backed by deep materials and process expertise, enabling the creation of advanced automotive controls and displays.
Who are we looking for?
* Support the Quality Control process for raw materials, lacquers, liquids, and coated films.
* Make Go / No go decisions based on QC testing against specifications.
* Communicate QC decisions to stakeholders and update systems for stock management.
* Contain non-conforming materials, communicate decisions, and quarantine within SAP.
* Maintain accurate quality documentation including test records and COAs.
* Support investigations into out-of-spec products and raw materials.
* Assist with customer complaint investigations.
* Champion quality standards within the QC department.
* Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure product standards.
* Willing to work on a 3-shift rotation basis.
What will you be doing?
* Maintain high health and safety standards.
* Ensure raw materials meet requirements before use and products meet specifications before release.
* Identify non-conformances and take immediate action.
* Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with quality management standards.
* Record and address inconsistencies in QC documentation and processes.
* Work with internal teams to provide feedback and ensure corrective actions.
Experience & Skills
* Experience in a manufacturing QC environment with physical, functional, and cosmetic testing.
* Structured approach to testing and problem solving.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to adhere to QC specifications under external pressures.
* Potential to train and mentor less experienced staff as skills develop.
* Good IT literacy and document preparation skills.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
