Purchase Ledger Clerk - Up to 30,000 Bolton Full-Time
We're working with a well-established and growing business based in Bolton who are looking to bring an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk into their finance team. The Role: As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, handling queries, and supporting the wider team with reconciliations and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing a high volume of purchase invoices accurately
* Matching, batching, and coding invoices
* Reconciling supplier statements and handling discrepancies
* Preparing and processing weekly/monthly payment runs
* Maintaining accurate supplier records
* Communicating effectively with suppliers to resolve queries
* Assisting with month-end reporting and other ad-hoc finance tasks
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable position
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems
* Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to deadlines
