Job Description
The CAMSS OSS (Planning) position sits within our Customer’s Military Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (MilCAMO) and is responsible for developing and maintaining aircraft maintenance forecasts and schedules in compliance with the Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) and the fleet operational plan. As a BDUK employee embedded within the MilCAMO, the CAMSS OSS (Planning) will work as part of an RAF-led team, representing BDUK directly within our customer organisation and influencing our reputation through daily interactions.
This exciting opportunity is based on site at RAF Lossiemouth. The successful candidate will join a diverse team contributing directly to the successful completion of all maintenance requirements for the P-8 fleet. The role involves close collaboration with maintenance organisations and playing a key part in creating Statements of Work, managing pre-input requirements, daily reporting, and conducting successful output reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the P-8 maintenance forecast in compliance with the AMP and integrate it with flight schedules.
2. Create and issue Statements of Work to Maintenance Organisations, ensuring parts and materials are scheduled appropriately.
3. Coordinate recovery plans for operational disruptions and adjust maintenance plans under the direction of MilCAM.
4. Lead key planning meetings, including pre-input meetings, post-inspection review meetings, and post-output meetings. Produce formal minutes and ensure all stakeholders sign off.
Qualifications and Experience:
5. Experience as a Maintenance Planner within a CAMO or Maintenance Repair Organisation.
6. Experience in maintenance planning or key stakeholder management.
7. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
8. Confident communication and reporting skills across all organisational levels.
9. Knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles and MAA Regulatory Publications.
Preferred Qualifications:
10. At least 12 months’ experience working on a military platform.
11. Experience with GoldESP and Resolve systems.
12. Knowledge of the P-8 maintenance cycle, defect management, and technical inspection planning.
