This fixed-term role will be responsible for establishing the strategic commercial leadership during a critical phase of growth and transition. It is a part-time position, working approximately 2 days per week for a period of 12 months.
We are a well-established metal finishing company with an annual turnover of approximately £5 million, known for delivering high-quality, precision-engineering products. With a strong reputation and stable client base, we are now entering a transformative phase of growth. Our strategic priority is to diversify into new sectors, strengthen our position within B2B supply chains and expand our customer portfolio.
The role is part of the Executive Board and works closely with other directors in setting strategic direction and targets, measuring business performance and standards, and maximising opportunities for profitable sales growth. With a client first mindset, the Commercial Director will be leading initiatives to secure contracts with Tier 1,2 and 3 suppliers and manufacturers, to ensure our value proposition aligns with the evolving needs of B2B customers in complex supply environments.
Maintaining effective formal and informal relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, will be a key part of this role. To achieve this, you will need to demonstrate a passion for networking, excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills along with strong leadership and communication skills.
