In this role, you will: Respond to customer field repair and service requests, providing detailed diagnostics and solutions. Estimate arrival times based on job instructions and customer needs. Communicate with site management to ensure adherence to customer procedures. Diagnose equipment issues using specialized tools and collaborate with customer operators. Identify and requisition necessary parts for repairs, coordinating delivery timelines. Perform repair and service work on a variety of Caterpillar engines and generators. Education and Experience:
Valid LDV driving license. Formally trained (NVQ Level 3 preferred) with significant experience as a service engineer or equivalent. Experience with various gas and diesel engines and generators (both LV and HV). Knowledge:
Proficiency in field-based diagnostic tools and equipment. Experience in assembly and disassembly of diesel engines and components. Familiarity with Caterpillar large engines (e.g., 3400, 3500, 3600 series) and MWM, MAK series. Why Choose Finning?
