Process Design Engineer role at RSE
RSE is a trusted clean water technology company focused on delivering innovative water treatment solutions across the UK. We are expanding our in‑house design team and are looking for a Process Design Engineer to join us on a permanent basis.
Overview
Your key duties will include:
* Initial project scoping visit and preparation of project scope reports.
* Process calculations and process unit sizing.
* Preparation of P&IDs and PFDs.
* Preparation of Process Control Philosophies.
* Working with a multidisciplinary team to develop full solutions.
* Participation in design meetings, including HAZOPs.
* Potentially acting as Design Lead for a limited number of projects.
* Specifying temporary treatment requirements to ensure no consent breaches during construction activities.
* Input into commissioning plans.
* Troubleshooting operational issues.
What Do You Need?
* Strong technical knowledge in the design and operation of water and wastewater projects (or similar).
* Demonstrable experience in process engineering or a similar industry environment.
* Process design engineering experience within municipal water/wastewater highly desirable.
* Experience working in a multidisciplinary design team.
* Experience at all design stages, from optioneering/FEED through to construction support and As‑Built highly desirable.
* Experience of plant commissioning and/or plant operation preferable.
* Working towards Chartered Engineer with a relevant professional body preferable.
* Ability to work on multiple projects consecutively.
