Multi Skilled Automation Engineers - Lineage - Heywood

Lineage Logistics the world’s largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics. We are a global company with more than 22,000 employees across the world.

We store, prepare and move food-based products for a variety of customers from major retailers to schools, hospitals and restaurants.

The role will consist of proactive as well as reactive maintenance of the warehouse systems of the site.

You will be supporting the technical department with planning activities, instruction and supervision mechanics/operators and optimising the technical process.

We are looking for four additional Multi Skilled Automation Engineers to join the team and there is one shift pattern available.

Shift available:

Salary: £46, per annum paid monthly

In this role you will:

1. Resolve breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve plant reliability

2. Support the maintenance and wider team in working together to solve problems to keep our facility moving

3. Approximately 20% of the time you will be working in a cold environment – approximately minus 18 degrees – just like working in the freezer; but we provide full PPE including coats, hats and boots

4. At times work at height using safety harness

Who we're looking for:

5. Qualified NVQ level 3 or equivalent with mechanical & electrical experience

6. Extensive knowledge and experience in the field of mechanics, electrical engineering and control engineering.

7. Knowledge of and experience with PLC and PC controlled fully automatic logistic transport systems.

8. Good interpersonal skills and enjoy being in a team

9. Willingness to learn and improve your skills

10. You are able to drive and travel to site

11. Ability to work at height and in a cold environment

12. Ability to work at height

13. Ability to work days & nights

14. Relevant work experience in similar industry
