Medical Support Officer Graduate - Army Medical Services
Salary: Over £34,000
Overview :
Medical Support Officers in the Army Medical Services lead and manage the teams, equipment and plans that keep Army healthcare running. You won’t deliver clinical care yourself, but you’ll make sure doctors, nurses and medics have what they need to do their job, whether that’s in the UK or on operations overseas.
You’ll be responsible for planning medical support, managing people and resources, and making decisions in fast‑moving situations. It’s a role that suits confident leaders who enjoy problem‑solving, organisation and teamwork, while developing strong leadership skills that are valued both in and out of The Army.
Qualifications required
To join as a Medical Support Officer, you must:
* Be eligible to join The Army as a commissioned officer
* Normally hold five GCSEs (grades 4–9) including English and maths, plus A‑levels or equivalent qualifications
* Meet Army officer entry standards, including medical and fitness requirements
No medical qualification is required, as you’ll be trained in military medical planning, leadership and management rather than clinical practice.
