It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do. Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’. We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards! We are also focused on our people. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

This role will be supporting four ladies that live in a single storey house. They have an enclosed garden with a gazebo and there is plenty room for them to relax. They have a shared kitchen with large table which is also good for doing arts and crafts. They also have a living room with large television and has a karaoke machine. Off street parking is available in front of the building. They enjoy arts and crafts, bingo, theatre, shopping, cafes and days out. They are friendly, sociable and like a laugh and also like dancing, karaoke and pamper nights. We are looking for support workers that are confident as nervous workers make them anxious. There are at least 2 of our colleagues on shift, usually 3 during the day. We are looking for one full time Support Worker and one Part Time Support Worker for 21 hours. We have a variety of shifts including 8am to 3pm, 3pm to 10pm and a sleepover shift covering 3pm to 3pm. A driving license would be beneficial but not essential.

* Spend your whole shift with the person you support, making the biggest impact on their lives.
* Support four ladies living in a single storey house with accessible facilities (enclosed garden, lounge with karaoke machine, shared kitchen, arts and crafts).

Essential Skills & Experience

What essential skills and experience is needed for the role? We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role will have professional experience. This is why we’re really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; from people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all. Naturally it is important too that you share our company values.

* Empathy, compassion and sensitivity to others
* A strong work ethic
* Reliability
* Honesty
* Determination
* A problem solver
* Resilience
