Main duties of the job
As a Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist, you will provide senior clinical leadership to our dynamic multidisciplinary Liaison Psychiatry service. This role also offers opportunities for development and clinical leadership within our Integrated Psychological Medicine Service.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership and Development: Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, drive service improvement projects, and participate in our governance programme. The team continues to expand and deliver Quality Improvement projects, some of which have been recognised nationally in recent years.
* Support and Supervision: We provide strong organisational development support, dedicated medical staffing personnel and opportunities for individual career development and team reflective practice. You will supervise trainees at all levels and contribute to teaching and training medical students.
* Research and Innovation: Pursue research interests with support from our connection to The University of Exeter and our co-located R&D team at Wonford House Hospital. The team runs national trials and supports gaining or building research experience.

* Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
* To hold Approved Clinician status at the point of taking up post.
* Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview.
* Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.
