SEN Teacher Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire Full-time | Permanent About the Role Simply Education is looking for a committed and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced special needs school in Huntingdon. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator with a passion for supporting pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Speech and Language Difficulties, and Moderate Learning Difficulties. You will be part of a strong, collaborative team dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where every child can develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and adapt engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEN pupils. Promote pupils' communication, independence, emotional wellbeing, and social development. Use creative, flexible teaching strategies to encourage participation and build confidence. Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, pastoral staff, and families to provide fully integrated support. Contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track progress effectively. Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that supports the whole child. About You Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Experience working with children with SEN in mainstream or specialist settings. Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting pupils with complex needs. Strong understanding of child-centred, inclusive education. Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills. Why Join Simply Education?
