A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our two vet practice in Warrington.
Our busy and well-established practice will suit someone who is passionate about exceptional patient and client care. The practice offers a high level of service to our patients and has access to our newly refurbished 24 hour hospital in Alder which hosts Liverpool's Veterinary Emergency Service and provides a dedicated out-of-hours service to many other local Medivet and external practices.
The practice has its own on-site laboratory and a range of facilities such as endoscopy, ultrasound and digital X-ray.
Your average day will include a variety of nursing duties as well as assisting with clinical coaching within the practice. Full support will be provided as you will work closely within our experienced team.
We are looking for an experienced RVN who shares our passion for delivering outstanding service and care for our clients and patients. You may have previous experience leading a team or you're ready to take the next step into a head nurse position. You will have a friendly and positive attitude and want to progress and expand your knowledge and skills further. This role is 40 hours per week working 1:4 Saturday's and is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

Role Accountabilities:

In this role you will:
* Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
* Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
* Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
* Lead, manage and promote nurse led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries.
* Deliver patient monitoring and care.
* Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
* Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
* Dispense and check medication.
* Deliver professional excellence, implementing and complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
* Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.
* Engage, coach and develop your team.
* Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills and Experience:
* RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
* Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
* Able to confidently lead a clinical team.
* Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations.
* Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
