Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals within the home. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours.
* Conduct regular health checks and maintain accurate records of client progress and needs.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a caregiving role within nursing homes or assisted living settings is preferred.
* Knowledge of first aid practices is essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
* Ability to manage behaviours in a calm and effective manner.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients when necessary.
* A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
