Medical Information (MI) Europe-Canada (EUCAN) is a customer-focused group within International MI & Review that is responsible for handling and responding to unsolicited MI inquiries regarding Pfizer products and devices, mainly from healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients/caregivers in EUCAN. The Medical Information Scientist (MIS) reports to the MI EUCAN Therapeutic Area (TA) Lead. The MIS responsibilities include: researching and synthesizing the science behind the company medicines into quality content, and preparing responses to unsolicited medical information (MI) inquiries received in Europe and Canada (EUCAN) interfacing with and supporting Product/Therapeutic team(s) and Global colleagues by providing medical information, identifying insights and analysis of inquiry trends to support departmental and company objectives. Additional expectations of the role include direct frontline (Customer Experience) interactions with customers and providing technical and MI with high quality customer service. What You Will Achieve In this role, you will: Serve as the subject matter expert for MI on responsible product(s); exhibits broad knowledge of assigned T A(s) and a solid understanding of pertinent disease state(s) Handle MI inquiries escalated by EUCAN MI frontline (Customer Experience) Create and maintains MI documents by ensuring that responses are medically and scientifically accurate, timely, balanced, and meet EUCAN customers’ needs. Ensures the alignment of response documents to regional/local labeling and licensing for all countries supported in EUCAN. Review and approves MI documents completed by others peers when appropriate Align with Global/US and International counterparts to ensure an open exchange of product information, business intelligence and best practices and participates in cross-functional projects Analyze inquiry data to identify trends and insights in EUCAN, and communicates salient points to EUCAN MI LT and relevant Medical stakeholders. Proactively seek continuous improvement in MI processes and responses Collaborate with internal stakeholders where relevant to ensure MI responses are appropriately aligned within the scope of MI and Pfizer Medical Ensure that MI Customer Experience colleagues have the necessary product(s) overview and resources to appropriately meet customer needs and expectations. Interact with the Customer Experiences MI Specialists (MICES) to support them in handling MI inquiries on aligned products Represent Pfizer by providing live MI support at scientific conventions/congresses Maintain compliance with corporate and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), processes and guidelines May act as Country Relationship Manager or Partner (CRM/P) in collaboration with the relevant MI Customer Experience Lead, e.g., liaising with the relevant Country Medical Council and local departments (e.g., Medical, Regulatory, Legal) Support International MI Lead/Managers and EUCAN Operations Manager to provide customers immediate access to MI content via relevant digital channels or tools. May act as channel champion for the TA to support the MI strategy. May support Customer Experience/Frontline activities in responding to MI inquiries received via phone, email or other channels; identifying and recording adverse events and product quality complaints, and processing response fulfillment. Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements) Life science graduate preferred. Masters in Science, BS in Pharmacy, PharmD, or MD strongly preferred. Pharmaceutical industry experience and success working in a highly matrixed environment. Proven medical information experience preferred Demonstrates strong medical writing skills; medical writing experience advantageous Specific TA(s) expertise preferred. Demonstrates effective relationship management and customer orientation Knowledge of pharmaceutical legislation and guidelines within Europe and Canada. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills, analytical skills, change agility, collaboration, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities Experience working in a multi-cultural virtual environment. High level of proficiency in both written and spoken English Proficiency with computer and software applications (i.e., Microsoft office), Generative AI tools and keyboarding skills Closing Statement This position holds a UK Grade 10, GJL70.
