Job Title: Payroll Officer Location: Rotherham Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 DOE Service Care are delighted to be working with a local firm who are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Officer to join their friendly, close-knit team. You will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients, processing payroll in a timely manner. This role is ideal for those who want to be in a supportive and social team, with the opportunity for career progression. Responsibilities Calculation of wages, bonuses, overtime and statutory payment deductions Process end to end payroll for your portfolio which can be on a monthly, bi-weekly and weekly basis. Ensure compliance with tax, and employment legislation Prepare and submit payroll reports Maintain up to date employee payroll records and ensure data is inputted correctly Handle payroll amendments, starters, leaver and year end processes. Act as a main point of contact for your portfolio, handling quires and offering payroll advice. Reconciliation of payroll reports Assisting with audits as required Other ad-hoc duties as required Skills and requirements Minimum 3 years experience within payroll Experience within a payroll bureau or firm/ experience of managing multiple entity payrolls Strong knowledge of payroll legislation High attention to detail Polite and professional telephone manner Benefits Salary £30,000 - £33,000 DOE Flexible working hours Hybrid working after probation 23 days holiday bank holidays Career progression Opportunities – including study support!
