W Talent is delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturing organisation located in Pixton, Nottinghamshire who is seeking a new Warehouse Team Leader to join the team. This is a key role within the dispatch function, responsible for delivering high levels of customer satisfaction while ensuring operational efficiency across the business.
The Role
As the Warehouse Team Leader based at the Pinxton Manufacturing site you will report directly to the Warehouse Manager supporting the smooth running of daily warehouse operations. You will lead by example and ensure the quality and accuracy of deliveries, while maintaining excellent customer service standards. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to fulfil all aspects of the role, ensuring operational targets, safety standards, and service levels are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise a small team of warehouse employees, including a team leader, across two sites.
Promote and maintain a positive working culture where colleagues are treated with dignity and respect.Maintain and update the shift log daily to ensure accurate records of colleague working hours.
Respond effectively to changing priorities and tight deadlines within the warehouse team.
Determine staffing levels and allocate workloads accordingly.
Conduct return-to-work interviews, ensure absence reporting procedures are followed, and identify absence triggers.
Pick orders using a forklift truck or powered pallet truck.
Load and unload containers and deliveries, including manual handling where required.
Use scanners for picking customer orders and locating stock.
Accurately locate stock and check deliveries.
Ensure production requests are actioned promptly and escalate any delays to the Warehouse Manager.Key Requirement
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Team Leader role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Strong organisational and decision-making skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proactive, resilient, and self-motivated with a pragmatic and methodical approach.
Comfortable challenging unsafe behaviours in line with company values and standards.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based systems.Salary & Benefits
Competitive salary £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
Continental shift pattern: 3 days on / 3 days off (12-hour shifts).
Rotating 7:00am - 7:00pm and 7:00pm - 7:00am shifts.
