About the Home: We are an Ofsted registered therapeutic children’s home providing a relationship-based model of practice that aims to provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children who have had adverse life experiences, who need a stable place to heal, grow, and thrive. We strongly believe that children's homes should feel as close as possible to real homes for the children living in them. Secondly, the care they receive should enable the children to feel loved, nurtured, supported, and valued as the unique individuals they each are. The children we are for present with a range of needs arising from difficult and often traumatic early life experiences including which include social, emotional, and mental health needs. The children may also have associated mild to moderate learning difficulties and developmental disorders. As a result of their lived experiences, some of our children may express themselves in ways that require extra compassion, patience, and understanding More specific difficulties and coping mechanisms they may experience or present with can include: Complex attachment difficulties meaning they find it hard to form and maintain positive relationships, mental health difficulties such as mood disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD and suicidal ideation and self-injurious behaviour and disordered eating. Difficulty regulating their emotions and behaviour, possibly leading to aggression Substance misuse Going missing from home Your Role: * Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations. * Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where children feel loved, nurtured, valued and supported. * Implement the services therapeutic model of care, helping children develop emotional resilience and positive relationships that help them heal, grow and thrive. * Inspire and develop your team—providing training, supervision, and ongoing support. * Ensure the home meets Children’s Homes Regulations and consistently achieves GOOD or OUTSTANDING Ofsted ratings. * Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, families, and professionals to support the best outcomes for the children. * Encourage and engage children in outdoor activities and creative and nature-based experiences to promote well-being and connection with others. * Provide a high quality, homely environment to help children b * Lead on care planning for the children, ensuring their holistic needs are met and they are supported to build emotional resilience, develop positive coping strategies, and establish a sense of safety and trust. What We’re Looking For: * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards) * Proven experience managing an Ofsted-registered children's home with GOOD or OUTSTANDING ratings (desirable) * Strong knowledge and experience of supporting children with SEMH needs, including complex emotional and attachment difficulties * Experience of providing relationship-based models of therapeutic care, which may include trauma informed practice, parenting with PACE and social pedagogy * A leader with passion, resilience, and a deep commitment to positive outcomes for children * Excellent understanding of safeguarding, children’s legislation, and regulatory requirements * Someone who thrives in a close-knit, supportive environment and is ready to make a real impact What You'll Receive: * 33 days of annual leave entitlement (including bank holidays) * Bonus scheme of up to £6,000! * Private Medical Insurance * Employee Assistance Programme * Pension Shceme Ready to Lead with Purpose?
