Location
Preferred location is the south of England (Redhill), as the role primarily supports regional water industry projects. Flexibility on location can be considered; however, the successful candidate must be able to travel to the region for key meetings and site visits.
Experience
Candidates should typically have a minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience.
Role Overview
This role is suited to a technically strong and commercially aware professional who can work with minimal supervision as part of multi-disciplinary teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engineering outputs to agreed timeframes and budgets. A background in Mechanical Engineering within the water industry, or a closely related sector, is essential. The projects are predominantly at the front-end and outline design stages.
Key Skills and Experience
* Experience in clean water and wastewater engineering systems design
* Equipment specification and pumped station design
* Plant layout development and understanding of multi-disciplinary requirements
* Preparation of plant and equipment layouts
* Change and risk management
* Experience in major pumping station refurbishment (desirable)
* Knowledge of industry standards, practices, CDM regulations, procurement processes, and document control
* Excellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of computer literacy
