Role Overview
Providing individualised support to adults with complex mental health conditions and those living with Huntington’s disease. Support may be delivered on a 1:1 basis or as part of a team, with a focus on person‑centred, trauma‑informed care that encourages personal growth and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver practical and emotional support to enable individuals to achieve personal outcomes such as staying safe, engaging in meaningful activities, and maintaining healthy relationships.
* Assist with daily living tasks, including cooking, housekeeping, and personal care where required.
* Support flexible care arrangements, including occasional sleep‑overs and weekend or evening shifts on a rotational basis.
* Facilitate the involvement of family, friends, health professionals and advocacy services in the individual’s support plan.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records and progress notes in line with organisational and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Experience
* No prior work experience required – comprehensive training will be provided.
* Proficiency in basic IT skills.
* Yes – Personal care, cooking and housekeeping skills are essential.
* Capability to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of starting (3 months for certain roles).
