Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Skills Development Tutor to join a leading Education and Skills provider, delivering high-quality Engineering training in Trafford. In this role, you'll support learners on funded programmes including Apprenticeships and Adult Learning, helping them gain the knowledge, skills, and behaviours (KSBs) they need to succeed in their careers.
You should be confident in teaching Turning at Levels 2 and 3 and ideally have experience delivering CNC or Precision Grinding at Level 3. The role involves a mix of face-to-face and blended digital delivery, including workplace visits to support apprentices and strong engagement with employers throughout the learner journey.

Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering engaging, accessible training for Engineering learners on various funded programmes.
* Using initial assessments to set personalized, measurable targets and reviewing learner progress regularly.
* Providing accurate marking and constructive feedback to support development and goal achievement.
* Visiting learners in the workplace to assess progress and maintain strong employer relationships.
* Tracking learner progress and using data to identify and support those at risk of falling behind.
* Designing innovative teaching materials that meet curriculum needs and employer expectations.
* Participating in quality assurance activities and contributing to curriculum development.
* Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety, and learner wellbeing standards are upheld.
What we are looking for:
* At least 5 years of experience teaching and assessing in the Engineering sector.
* Confidence in delivering Turning at Levels 2 and 3, and ideally CNC or Precision Grinding at Level 3.
* Possession of a PTLLS or Assessor Award (training can be provided if needed).
* Familiarity with eLearning platforms and digital tools supporting blended learning.
* Ability to manage workload independently and contribute to a team.
* Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
* Understanding of safeguarding, risk assessments, and health & safety procedures.
* Qualifications such as D32/D33 or A1 are essential; D34 or V1 are desirable.
