An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Engineer to work in the Central Data team to ensure the effectiveness of tools, processes, and policies which are in place.
Salary: Circa £47,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification

We seek an engineer experienced with ERP systems who enjoys sharing knowledge to influence and develop best practices. Responsibilities include defining and managing audit strategies aligned with the master data policy, collaborating with engineering and planning teams to drive improvements and standardisation.
* A collaborative nature supporting engineering and manufacturing teams
* Use of SAP for data extraction, interpretation, and communication of cause and effects
* Review of engineering processes to ensure alignment and robust MRP output
* First-line support for daily issues
* Involvement in operational excellence master data work streams to promote data integrity in ERP
* Generating and distributing KPI reports
* Developing and executing auditing strategies for master data (material masters, BOMs, routings)
* Implementing processes for routing times input into SAP for capacity and scheduling management
* Understanding and defining processes for creating new assembly structures, working with cross-functional teams for process improvements supporting SAP use and customer delivery
* Creating and reviewing detailed requirement and functional specification documents based on business needs
* Collaborating with outsourced support to enhance, test, and support SAP systems, including training
* Performing regression testing for SAP updates/upgrades
* Maintaining SAP user guides
What we're looking for:
* HNC level qualifications or equivalent
* APICS supply chain certification (desirable)
* Experience with ERP systems essential
* Experience with SAP beneficial
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Attention to detail
* Proven experience in managing and implementing process improvements
