Salary: £28,000 - 28,000 per year Requirements: Previous experience in a cyber security role Experience with cyber incidents and monitoring tools such as SIEM is desirable CompTIA Security certification is desirable Knowledge of Office 365 Ability to accurately, impartially, and concisely record and report information Experience with vulnerability scanning tools Networking experience, including patching and a basic understanding of TCP/IP Strong attention to detail and presentation skills Demonstrated initiative and ownership of tasks and projects Ability to prioritize, coordinate, and complete tasks to meet deadlines Basic knowledge of threats, vulnerabilities, prevention techniques, and countermeasures Basic knowledge of log analysis, forensic investigations, and troubleshooting Broad IT experience with an understanding of technologies and processes for protective monitoring and vulnerability management Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn new skills Experience with configuration and monitoring of security technologies including Anti-Virus, Email, and Web filtering A great customer-facing attitude Understanding of security information & event management and log analysis Ability to maintain an up-to-date understanding of the current threat landscape Experience managing the IT Security ticket queue in line with ITIL, meeting SLAs. Responsibilities: Work as part of a team in Bedford to deliver protection and monitoring of IT systems Serve as an important point of contact and support to Total IT customers Investigate attacks and threats, delivering protection services reactively and proactively Create documentation and handouts to advise users on best practices Assist in investigations and escalations of security violations and unauthorized access attempts Roll out security platforms to customers to ensure machines are up to date and protected Manage IT Security ticket queues and take ownership of assigned tickets, managing through to resolution Collaborate with IT teams as necessary to ensure effective incident management Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the current threat landscape and document findings accordingly Provide technical advisory support to other team members.
