Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) / Trainee (tACP)

We are seeking a Primary Care Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) / Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (tACP) to join our dynamic team.

This role is suitable for both experienced ACPs and those who have recently qualified. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred care, working autonomously within their scope of practice to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of conditions.

For ACPs, we welcome applications from both experienced practitioners and those newly qualified, with support available to help develop confidence and competence in the role. For tACPs, a structured training pathway will be provided to support progression towards full ACP status.


Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, taking medical histories and performing clinical examinations.

Diagnose, manage, and treat acute and long-term conditions, including prescribing where qualified.

Work autonomously while collaborating with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Provide patient education, health promotion, and preventative care.

Undertake clinical audits and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with professional and legal requirements.

Participate in training and development programmes to enhance clinical skills.

We have extensive experience in the support, training, and supervision of Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) at all stages of their development. As an approved Midlands Learning Environment, we work in close collaboration with Staffordshire and Keele University, ensuring our ACPs and trainees receive high-quality education and hands-on learning opportunities.


Job responsibilities

Work autonomously while collaborating with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

For ACP: MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent) and independent prescribing qualification.

For tACP: A relevant healthcare qualification (e.g., registered nurse, paramedic, pharmacist, or allied health professional) with a commitment to completing an MSc in Advanced Practice.

Current registration with relevant professional body (NMC, HCPC, GPhC).

Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience in a primary care

Ability to work flexibly, including extended hours or weekend shifts if required.

Qualifications

* For ACP: MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent) and independent prescribing qualification.
* For tACP: A relevant healthcare qualification (e.g., registered nurse, paramedic, pharmacist, or allied health professional) with a commitment to completing an MSc in Advanced Practice.
* Experience in a primary care
* Ability to work flexibly, including extended hours or weekend shifts if required.


Experience

* Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Experience in a primary care
